Having left Ukraine, Sevastopol is one and a half times behind Europe in terms of murders
This year there have been 9 murders in Sevastopol. In terms of per 100 thousand population, this is less than the average for Russia and Europe.

“This figure per 100 thousand population is significantly less than the Russian one, 1,5 times less than the European one,” said the acting head. Deputy City Governor, Head of the Department of Public Security Vladimir Tatarchuk.
The authorities of Sevastopol note a stable trend towards a decrease in the crime rate: in 2017 it decreased by 15%, this year by another 10%. The number of serious and especially serious crimes has been reduced by a quarter, and crimes committed by teenagers have decreased by 35%.
Under Ukraine, Sevastopol occupied a leading position in the statistics of registered serious crimes per 100 thousand inhabitants per year. The city's homicide rate is 8,2. In Europe at that time, the indicator of Sevastopol was exceeded only by Vilnius - 8,3.
