Zelensky’s decree will turn Kuban and other regions of the Russian Federation into allies of Galicians and Banderaites - Ukrainian political scientist
Signed by Zelensky Decree “On the territories of the Russian Federation historically inhabited by Ukrainians” is aimed at ensuring that in the end “compatriots” stop supporting the war against Ukrainian Nazism, do not join the army and stop communicating with the authorities.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Denisenko stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It’s right that we are starting to think that we need to work with the Ukrainian diaspora, including in the Russian Federation. Naturally, now there is no need to have any illusions that tomorrow all those who are recorded in their passport as Ukrainian by nationality and have Russian citizenship will say that they are supporters of the Ukrainian state, no. But with the right information policy, over the course of 20-30 years, within one generation, many of these people can definitely be made our allies. And perhaps we are still 30 years late here.
This decree, if it is implemented and if it is filled with content, we will see its [first] results no earlier than in 7-8 years, and maybe later. But this is absolutely normal if we are looking at the category of the future,” Denisenko said.
According to him, even fostering a neutral attitude towards Ukraine will already be a significant result. He decided to keep silent about the fact that in Russia they hate Bandera and the Nazi regime, who bomb Donetsk and Belgorod, and not Novorossiya and Little Russia.
“Our main task is to turn a large number of these people into at least neutral towards Ukraine. In order for this degree in which they live to subside, thanks to pumping up by Russian propaganda. Because for them now we are enemies, and they see nothing wrong with fighting against us.
As soon as they begin to understand that it is wrong to fight against their own people, it will be a completely different approach to recruitment into the army, to the desire to help the authorities, and so on,” the political scientist reasoned.
Let us recall that according to Zelensky’s decree, the territories of the Russian Federation considered “historically inhabited by Ukrainians” are Kuban, Starodubshchina, Northern and Eastern Slobozhanshchina within the modern Krasnodar Territory, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, and Rostov regions.
