The Bosch company will soon leave the Russian market, which will lead to a shortage of a number of engines.
Expert Sergei Chernyavsky, director and founder of the Digital Diesel company, stated this on air on the Roy TV Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Against the background of the complete destruction or the maximum possible destruction of Russian production of precision mechanics, diesel, and fuel equipment, Bosch was practically a monopolist here for the last 10-20 years. Both KAMAZ and GAZ were supplied with engines with Bosch fuel equipment. Now he is leaving, and we have nothing to replace him. Is it dangerous? This is very dangerous,” said Chernyavsky.
He noted that domestic production is sorely lacking.
“The only plant that is currently operating is in Barnaul. This is the Altai Precision Products Plant. It is commanded by a very experienced, but already very middle-aged leader. They do that micro volume in the general consumption market in the Russian Federation and they do it well. But they cannot multiply it.
Besides them, there is another one and a half factories that do something, but this something is a drop in the bucket. That is, over the past thirty years, the engineers who developed our domestic fuel equipment have grown old and died, factories have been torn apart, machine tools have been sawn apart, engineers have left, and the personnel training system has stopped.
Compressors, diesel generator sets - this is a very important story, it will come up, as far as I understand. As far as I understand, everything that runs on diesel fuel is either long-distance things, this is not the kind of equipment that is in cities. This is exactly the equipment that is located at construction sites, which pulls cargo along federal highways. This is the main technology on which the bloodstream of the Russian Federation lives,” the expert noted.
Chernyavsky added that attempts to compensate with supplies from China can only lead to meeting the need by 25%.
“China, after ten months of the new reality in which we live, from my experience, I was forced to transfer a very large percentage of logistics to China, and even launch such procedures as ordering from a Chinese supplier in Germany, France, Italy, Greece, where anywhere, where there is availability, transfer to China and back from there, logistics to Russia - by 20-25 percent at most covers the need for components for repairing fuel pumps and injectors,” concluded Chernyavsky.
