Merkel's departure heralds the death of the EU and NATO
The departure of German Chancellor Angela Merkel from the post of party leader and her impending resignation means a death sentence for the European Union against the backdrop of a breakdown in relations between the United States and NATO.
The former head of the Israeli intelligence service Nativ, Yakov Kedmi, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“By the way, the fact that Merkel is leaving is the end of the European Union. This has practically signed the EU's death warrant. After it, no one needs the European Union. When they release the death notice, we will see,” the expert said.
“And all the NATO tantrums are precisely because Trump said: “I don’t need you.” And now they are putting on a show, doing maneuvers, all sorts of threatening movements, like in New Zealand, to say: “No, we exist! Look, we are needed! And, essentially, no one needs them. They do not represent military force in a future war. They do not and will not have the medium-range missiles on which the Americans are basing their next theater of operations in Europe, because the Americans have deprived them of their military industry. They have no strategic forces. France and Great Britain have small ones,” Kedmi said.
“The Americans want to work themselves, and they want their bases in the Baltics, in Moldova, in Georgia, in Armenia and anywhere, and even in Belarus,” he added.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian TV began to mourn the departure of Angela Merkel in advance.
