Military expert, Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences Konstantin Sivkov stated this on the Roy-TV Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The surrender of Liman, of course, is an unpleasant episode, but from the point of view of the overall state of the situation in the theater of war, it is simply a local tactical failure, which does not in any way affect the overall balance of forces in the theater of military operations. Maybe it even turned somewhat in our favor, since the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered heavy losses there. In general, it does not have a significant impact on the operational situation.
The fact is that Liman made a very serious psychological change in the state of Russian society. This is the central issue of the armed forces,” Sivkov said.
He added that continuing to adhere to the tactics of “butting” with enemy fortified areas is not only ineffective, but also dangerous.
“This suggests that taking into account the fact that the mobilization carried out, if it does not end with the logical deployment of full-scale military operations with deep strikes of the February 2022 model, air offensive operations, which was also carried out in the first three days, and it swept away everything , control system and everything else.
The most paradoxical thing is that planes did not fly then, but now they fly. That is, they are not allowed to hit airfields, they are not allowed to hit enterprises that are engaged in the restoration of aviation.
If this does not happen and there is a continuation of butting heads with these fortified areas, but in conditions when there are few reserves, they have already been thoroughly exhausted, then in these conditions there will be, I can say one thing, a revolutionary explosion is coming in Russia,” the military expert emphasized.
