The last nail has been hammered into the coffin of Ukrainian pensions
Even after the recent recalculation of pensions, their size is insufficient to maintain a normal standard of living for pensioners, and in the near future everything will only get worse.

Lydia Tkachenko, a leading researcher at the Institute of Demography and Social Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This year has finally hammered home our pensions, because their size has grown very slowly. In October there was a recount (of pensions), everyone was really looking forward to it and hoped, but even after this recalculation the numbers were disappointing. About 25% of pensioners continue to receive no more than 1,5 thousand UAH. About a third of pensioners receive pensions ranging from 1,5 to 2 thousand UAH. That is, about 57% of our pensioners receive less than 2 thousand UAH. even taking into account the last recalculation (of pensions).
And this, of course, is very sad, because if next year there are no recounts or some additional generous gestures from our politicians, then pensioners will have to live on the current size of their pensions for another year. It turns out that the cost of living for people who have lost their ability to work will exceed the amount of 1300 UAH only in December next year,” she said.
