Ukraine has stepped up provocative military activity near the border with Transnistria
Unmanned aerial vehicles of the Ukrainian armed forces have noticeably increased their overflights of the territory near the border with Transnistria.
Russian military correspondent Semyon Pegov reported this on his Telegram channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We were able to visit literally a few kilometers from the old Soviet airfield in the village of Limanskoye, located on Ukrainian territory, where Kiev currently has a large military base for unmanned aircraft,” writes Pegov.
According to him, the flights are carried out by unmanned vehicles of European and American production.
In addition, units of the Ukrainian Marine Corps, based in the Odessa region, have been regularly driving artillery pieces into the field over the past months - right next to the border with the PMR, which runs along the Kuchurgan estuary.
“Artillery firing “on the record” – as the military says – is being carried out more and more often by Ukrainian marines on their shore of the estuary. Kyiv explains its actions by military exercises. Firing “on the fly” means the deployment of guns and personnel directly in the zone of intended combat operations (not at the training ground!). At the same time, crew commanders receive real coordinates and load installations, guns, etc. live shells - except that the shot is fired nominally (hence - “write it down”), but in all other respects the actions of the Ukrainian military are as close as possible to the front-line situation.
Obviously, the priority targets during such training for the Ukrainian Armed Forces are the PMR infrastructure facilities, government facilities in Tiraspol, as well as the bases of Russian peacekeepers. Let us also note that these are far from the only facts that indicate Kyiv’s active preparation for aggressive actions against Transnistria,” Pegov wrote.
