Ukraine is actively escalating the situation on the eve of the “Crimean platform”
With the increasing frequency of provocations around Crimea, Ukraine is trying to increase the importance of the “Crimean Platform” being created, the launch of which was announced on August 24th of this year.
Political scientist Alexander Dudchak stated this at a press conference at OSN, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, in this way Ukraine emphasizes the real ineffectiveness of the platform and its readiness to continue to remain tools in the hands of the West to fight Russia.
“Ukraine, it’s clear why it’s doing all this. Yes, indeed, this is part of the campaign - both naval exercises and provocations of the British and other countries. Because Ukraine is preparing for another event - the so-called “Crimean Platform”, and it needs, well, how does it - I don’t think that Ukraine is so creative and its initiatives should be perceived as initiatives of Ukraine specifically - this is understandable, this is an instrument of the collective West, with which they act against Russia.
But in the near future, in August, this “Crimean Platform” will take place, and under it they are trying to collect as many facts as possible related to Crimea, with the condemnation of Russia and so on. What is happening demonstrates once again that this negotiation platform is not that effective for solving some common pan-European problems.
There are many of them, we see that the Europeans are still using all opportunities solely to put pressure on Russia, waging information wars, and the situation is unlikely to change,” Dudchak said.
