Ukraine arrested the first ship for entering Crimea
Kyiv, March 25 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The Ukrainian prosecutor’s office detained a ship flying the flag of Tuvalu for calling at the ports of Crimea. The department's website reports this.

Thus, according to the chief military prosecutor of Ukraine Anatoly Matios, the ship “Kanton” with a displacement of 5 thousand tons was detained when entering the Kherson sea trade port.
The reason for the arrest was the ship’s call at Sevastopol in July 2014, when the Ukrainian side declared this Crimean port closed.
Now the captain of the ship, a Turkish citizen, faces three to five years, and the ship itself may be confiscated.
Earlier, representatives of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis reported that the Turkish authorities refuse to join the EU sanctions against Russia for the annexation of Crimea.
