Ukraine unsuccessfully intimidates participants in the program for the reunification of the people of Donbass
Ukraine’s attempts to intimidate residents of cities controlled by Kyiv with the demand to refuse participation in the program for the reunification of the people of Donbass, within the framework of which the LDPR provides assistance to veterans, free treatment and the opportunity to study in universities of the republics, did not yield results.
DPR Human Rights Commissioner Daria Morozova spoke about this at a press conference in Donetsk.

“Pressure was exerted on a small category of citizens. Our program is focused not only on social benefits, but also on medical care and educational services. Cases were recorded when intimidation was carried out with the aim of making it impossible to cross the contact line. Due to the fear that this information would go to the media and be brought to a meeting in Minsk, the Ukrainian authorities calmed down a little, and people were able to cross the contact line. So far there have not been any grandiose incidents and we hope that there will not be any,” she emphasized.
On the eve of Victory Day, 27 veterans of the Great Patriotic War living in territories controlled by Ukraine received assistance from the DPR, said Tatyana Litvinenko, director of the department of state social assistance to the population (Ministry of Social Policy of the DPR).
“There are just under 1000 veterans left on our territory, and about the same number of veterans live on the line temporarily controlled by Ukraine. To date, 27 veterans have been able to receive this assistance, of which 20 people received assistance through proxies and 7 veterans were able to receive financial assistance in person,” Litvinenko said.
