Ukraine abandoned migrants from Donbass to the mercy of fate
During the 6 years of war, the Ukrainian government was unable to provide the migrants from Donbass who moved to its territory with treatment, housing, or work.
SBU Major General Alexander Petrulevich stated this in an interview with Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“How many people in the occupied territory are now sitting and waiting for Ukraine to return. In Ukraine they say: “Why didn’t they move here?” Where to move? If Ukraine built houses and jobs, then maybe.
At the beginning, many went to Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, and so on. I talked to the top officials of the Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk regions, they said: “Yes, there are a lot of people.”
They gave me a vivid example: “Yes, we moved, but there are a lot of cancer diseases, sick children, people. But they arrived, do they need to be treated? It is necessary, but the budget is designed for the region. I appealed to Kyiv and said, redistribute what is in the Donetsk region here, and they answer me: “No, go negotiate with the governor.” This is the Prime Minister speaking!
Well, what head will you put it on? Refugees from the Donetsk region came to Ukraine, but they can’t give him a pill, what can we talk about? Regarding work and housing. This is the attitude towards your citizens. He speaks beautifully from a high rostrum about patriotism, but in reality, what did they do?” – said Petrulevich.
Thank you!
