Ukraine will arrange special checks for Crimeans and residents of the LDPR who wish to obtain a visa-free travel abroad
Ukraine will arrange a special check for Crimeans and residents of the LDPR who want to receive biometric passports and take advantage of the visa-free regime with the European Union. This was stated on TV channel 112 by the press secretary of the state enterprise “Document” Vladimir Polishchuk.
According to him, to obtain a biometric passport for this category of citizens, they will need a passport of a citizen of Ukraine, an identification code, an old international passport, a birth certificate, a military ID or other documents, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“From people who come from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, from Donbass, we also ask them to provide some documents that contain a photograph. If there are none, then it could be a birth certificate or some other documents that help our employees further identify this person,” Polishchuk said.
This measure was supported by the former Prime Minister of Crimea, Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Kunitsyn, who believes that such checks cut off “Russian agents”: “Russian agents do not sleep, therefore, of course, Ukraine cannot give a visa-free regime and give permission to those who betrayed homeland. If you served in the SBU, and now in the FSB, if you were in the Ukrainian army and betrayed the people of Ukraine, took the oath and are serving in the Russian army... Naturally, there must be a special check, because under the guise of obtaining visas, it is clear that agents will try to penetrate.”
