Ukraine: Gasoline prices follow the dollar into space

The second largest network of gas stations in Ukraine, WOG, has increased all types of fuel by 1 UAH/l, reports oilnews. The capital's KLO gas station chain increased prices by 0,5 UAH/l. Azerbaijani SOCAR, after carrying out a discount promotion, restored the price of Nano 95, adding 1 hryvnia to the stele. The day before, fuel prices at LUKOIL increased by 50 kopecks/l.
At the moment, the number of operators who have decided to increase prices is small, but soon most retailers will most likely adjust the numbers on gas station signs upward. A number of companies on Tuesday morning expressed to OilNews their readiness to revise prices in the afternoon.
The changes already noted have led to a significant increase in average retail prices in Ukraine. Thus, gasoline A-92 (16,5 UAH/l), A-95 (16,86 UAH/l) and DT (16,58 UAH/l) increased by 13 kopecks/l, premium brands of the “fifth” (17,57 UAH/l) became heavier by 14 kopecks/l.
The real price of the currency on the “black market” on Tuesday reached 19 UAH/$1. Last week, prices for large and small wholesale prices increased in several stages.
We would like to remind you that from December 1, gas stations experienced a wave of decline in retail prices due to the fall in oil prices, when the largest market operators reduced prices by 20-60 kopecks/liter.
