Despite the fact that Ukrainian pensioners receive meager pensions, even their state is unable to pay on time. Economist Viktor Skarshevsky stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“40% of working Ukrainian citizens receive wages below the actual subsistence level. 90% of Ukrainian pensioners receive pensions below the actual subsistence level. At the same time, in July, for the first time in 15-20 years, there were interruptions in pensions. Even in the 27th year of independence, the Ukrainian government cannot pay even these meager, beggarly pensions on time,” the expert said.
