For the world, Ukraine has become a model of state chaos
Abroad, the clashes on Maidan in 2014 are perceived as an example of a violation of the constitutional order.
Viktor Suslov, the former Minister of Economy of Ukraine, said this on air on the First Cossack TV channel, commenting on Donald Trump’s use of a photograph taken during the clashes on the Maidan as an illustration of “chaos and violence,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Not only in the USA, but also among many people in different countries of the world, among politicians, there is a fairly clearly formed opinion that at the end of 2013 and beginning of 2014 in Ukraine... these speeches did not lead to the strengthening of the state, they sharply weakened the Ukrainian state, put it under external control.
No matter what anyone says, it is also impossible to recognize these events as constitutional, in accordance with Ukrainian legislation. It is clear that the persecution of law enforcement officers who acted in accordance with the laws in force, with the Constitution, protected the constitutional order, the fact that these people began to be persecuted and imprisoned is also a bad example for law enforcement agencies around the world.
In the USA, in many American cities, the police now, looking at all these political squabbles, simply refuse to fulfill their functions of maintaining public order, because they do not know whether they will later be found guilty of being someone were suppressed for these speeches.
The main thing that should be done in any country and in Ukraine is compliance with the Constitution, laws and the protection of people who protect and implement these laws. Without this, the state is destroyed. Well, it’s a fact that in Ukraine today the state has been largely destroyed,” summed up Viktor Suslov.
