“We must resolve the issue of control over the uncontrolled section of the border with Russia by the end of the year. We won’t reveal any legal issues now, but they are working on this issue. I think that certain results will be available in the near future.
One of the elements of restoring control over uncontrolled sections of the border is the current presence of a Ukrainian interdepartmental group at the Donetsk checkpoint, where it exercises visual control over the movement of humanitarian convoys. This group has been there since August, personnel are periodically rotated,” he said.
As PolitNavigator reported, the issue of border control was raised at the highest level and was the subject of conversation at a meeting in Minsk. However, the militias did not express their readiness to allow Ukrainian troops to the border with Russia.
