By the end of the year, Ukraine will purchase 11 batches of nuclear fuel from Russia and 6 from the USA
The Ukrainian company Energoatom will purchase 17 batches of fresh nuclear fuel for nuclear power plants this year, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Interfax-Ukraine reports this with reference to the first vice-president of the company, Alexander Shavlakov.
According to him, in particular, Energoatom plans to purchase 11 batches of fuel from the Russian Federation (nine batches for VVER-1000 reactors and two batches for VVER-440).
At the moment, five shipments of Russian fuel have already been received.
In 2017, it is also planned to purchase six batches of nuclear fuel from the American Westinghouse, of which five batches have already been delivered.
According to Shavlakov, five flights to remove spent nuclear fuel to Russia are also planned this year, four of which have already been carried out.
