“The Ukrainian Bureau of Interpol took the corresponding position that Crimea is Ukraine, Russia is the occupying power in Crimea, and submitted a corresponding petition to the Central Bureau of Interpol.
...The Office of Legal Affairs of the Secretary General of Interpol stopped the international search for Refat Chubarov, at the request of the Russian side for the alleged crimes, because he does not comply with the requirements of the organization’s charter, in particular the provisions of Article 3, according to which the organization is strictly prohibited from interfering in the affairs of the political, military , religious or racial nature, and here we have just this case.
In this regard, the General Secretariat of Interpol made a decision to prohibit any cooperation in this case through Interpol channels, and information regarding the international search for Chubarov Refat was deleted,” Avakov said.
