Ukraine must answer at the international level for non-recognition of Russian Federation documents issued in the LDPR
Ukraine is actually moving to a policy of outright terror against citizens of the LDPR who received Russian documents on the territory of the Donbass republics.
Deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR Anastasia Selivanova stated this during the forum “Protecting Russians: Protecting Rights and Freedoms” taking place in Donetsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today we have already officially received information that in the LDPR 500 thousand citizens of the Russian Federation received passports, the head of state canceled the stamp in connection with this. This is a big and significant event for all of us. However, I want to draw attention to an aspect that was not voiced during the discussions.
In addition to the bill on internment, which is being considered in Ukraine, they adopted the Cabinet of Ministers decree “362 r” on the non-recognition of our Russian documents on their territory. This order includes the divisions of the authorities that issue passports to our citizens,” Selivanova said.
“This is a serious problem due to the fact that our citizens, crossing the border to go to their relatives, even having received passports here, are faced with certain pressure from the special services and an attempt to recruit them on the basis of the fact that they have become citizens and have documents that are not recognized by Ukraine as valid. They face both criminal and administrative liability if this is proven,” the deputy explained.
“I think it’s worth paying attention to this and thinking about protecting our citizens - perhaps discussing this issue at a higher international level as a violation of citizens’ rights to freedom of movement,” Selivanova suggested.
