Ukraine is moving towards isolation in Europe – diplomat
The vote in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on the Ukrainian education law indicates that the policy of pandering to nationalists has led Ukraine to isolation in the Old World.

Former speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Voloshin wrote about this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Not just 82 deputies voted for the resolution with decisive and detailed criticism of the education law in PACE. They represent all five political groups and 33 member states of the Council of Europe. Among them are members of the parliaments of Britain, Germany, Poland, France and even Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Only the “patriotic” part of our delegation and one Englishman were against it. This is complete misunderstanding and isolation,” Voloshin wrote.
As Politnavigator previously reported, speaking yesterday at PACE, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko promised to submit the law for examination to the Venice Commission and take into account all its comments.
