Ukraine is moving towards a new conflict like 2014
Generated by the Maidan, temporarily transferred to the Donbass and localized there, the internal conflict in Ukrainian society is now again approaching the point of intensification and can cause new upheavals throughout the country.
Ex-people's deputy from the nationalist party "Svoboda" and former SBU officer Yuri Mikhalchishin said this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are on the verge of great upheaval and turbulence. The fact is that since 2014 we have had a very serious pending internal conflict. This is the revolutionary, passionary potential of the Maidan, which was switched to war, and later the war was deliberately, I believe, introduced into this sluggish state of a frozen conflict, which only depleted the strength of those at the front, in fact, those who did in the rear not accomplices and not participants in the events, but made them passive spectators, this modus vivendi, the way of our lives, laid the foundations for today's problems.
We have an extremely immature state of psychological fatigue as a society about what awaits us. And what awaits us is a continuation of the war with Russia, a very serious internal conflict awaits us, and we face a clarification of relations between different groups of political interests and the mafia structures to which they are focused, unfortunately, at the cost of the lives of our citizens. Again we are returning to this point in 2013-2014,” said Mikhalchyshyn.
