Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Anna German stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. According to her, formally it can be called the state “Ukraine”, but in fact there will be independent regions.
“Regions will take on more and more power and more powers. And this is how we will try to unleash this crisis between the center and the regions, and this is how the Ukrainian state will be reformed. It will become different. Perhaps there will be many independent principalities, as once in Rus' - at first there was a united Rus', later it began to fragment, but on the whole the state, as such, existed at least formally. And I think this will be the path of regional independence. I wouldn’t say autonomies, but not federal districts either. Such regional organizations with greater rights, where communities will try to solve their problems themselves, regardless of the center. This is a good way to preserve Ukraine,” said Herman.
