“After the end of the trip, we will conduct a detailed analysis of the current situation. Relevant instructions will be given to speed up the construction of the naval base in Berdyansk,” the minister promised.

He also called “extremely relevant” the fact that the Ukrainian Navy has the Neptune anti-ship missile system.

In turn, Nezavisimaya Gazeta draws attention to the fact that the Neptunes were developed on the basis of the Soviet X-35 missile, modifications of which are still in service not only in Russia, but also in a number of other countries.

"Neptunes" are equipped with a new control system developed by the Kyiv design bureau "Luch". This design bureau was considered an authoritative institution in the Soviet defense-industrial complex and still maintains its position. The deployment of the Neptunes in Berdyansk is a direct threat to the safety of navigation and the strategic objects of the Russian Federation stationed in the Sea of Azov. Including for Russian military garrisons in Yeysk, Temryuk, as well as ships and vessels of the Black Sea Fleet,” the publication notes.

It is noted that the Russian leadership will seek an answer to new threats, responding symmetrically to them.

“It’s no secret that Russia in the south is also building up its military infrastructure. The ships and submarines of the Black Sea Fleet (BSF) are equipped with Kalibr long-range cruise missiles, capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 2500 km on land and more than 300 km at sea. The coastal forces include formations of the anti-ship complexes “Bal” and “Bastion”, which in their tactical and technical characteristics are similar to the Neptune anti-ship missile system, the newspaper clarifies.

As PolitNavigator reported, the new adviser to the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine threatens to drown Black Sea Fleet with Neptune missiles.
