Ukraine is ready to chip in so as not to return Russia to PACE
Ukraine proposes to increase the contributions of European countries to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) to compensate for the loss of the Russian contribution to this organization - 10% of the organization's budget.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin stated this on the air of the Majlis TV channel ATR.

“We give advice on how the Russian contribution can be distributed. We are talking about an additional contribution from Ukraine and other countries,” Klimkin said.
The Ukrainian diplomat considers his fight against the return of the Russian Federation to PACE a real war.
“The president had a very difficult conversation with the secretary general. I also tried to make some arguments. We stopped attempts to create a special group, which Russia insisted on. Otherwise there would be a problem for us and for many of our friends. But so far we have only won the battle, not the war. There are people in PACE who very consistently want to bring Russia back,” Klimkin admitted.
At the same time, he refused to answer the question of what the Ukrainian organization will do if the Russian one does return to PACE.
“I have a recipe for this case. But I don't want to answer the question of what will happen in the worst case. We have some interesting preparations that you will see in January if this continues,” Klimkin said.
