Ukraine has been preparing to fight with Russia since 2019 – Danilov’s confession
Ukraine began preparing for war with Russia several years ago.
Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov stated this on TV channel 24, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Danilov, preparations began when President Vladimir Zelensky refused to sign peace initiatives proposed by Russia and mediators represented by Germany and France.
“If we had not prepared, then we definitely would not have had the result that we have. I can say that the apparatus of the National Security and Defense Council began to prepare for these processes after December 19, after the president of our country visited Paris, where the first and last meeting with President Putin took place.
I want you to understand that there were proposals a la “Minsk-3”, which we had to calmly sign, everything for this had already been worked out - the Germans, the French, together with the Russians, prepared all this. And there was great irritation among some representatives of the Russian delegation - they threw papers, this Mr. Surkov, and just didn’t run across the ceiling: “What happened? Why did this happen, what is it? What impudence, why didn’t it happen as agreed?”
“I understood even then that we must have an understanding, preparations must begin, and through a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council we began preparations taking into account the circumstances that existed. If we now carefully analyze the decisions that began to be made in 20-21, even those that were made last year, then a person who has an analytical mind will see that 80% of the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council were preparatory to this war “- said Danilov.
The Secretary of the Security Council justified the closure of a number of Ukrainian television channels that were in opposition to the government because they allegedly promoted Russia.
“The decision to close television channels, which have the name of television channels, but were purely propaganda subjects of the Russian Federation, which were financed at the expense of Russia, was made by the Verkhovna Rada during the times of the previous government. It’s hard for me to say why they didn’t take the corresponding decision of the National Security and Defense Council.
Now they are all patriots, but why didn’t they shut their mouths then so that they wouldn’t shout on all channels? Imagine if Medvedchuk’s channels had remained until February 24 - they would have eaten up everything that could be eaten from a large number of the population in the year and a half that we didn’t let them work.
They blew my mind, pressed on the very thing, talked about a person’s life. As for manipulations, they are the absolute world champions in this process,” Danilov said
