Ukraine is preparing Halloween for the DPR and LPR
Assistant to the President of Ukraine for International Policy Andriy Ermak said that Ukraine expects to hold local elections in the uncontrolled territories of Donbass on the same day, October 31, 2020, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Ermak stated this during a speech at Chatham House in London.
The assistant to the Ukrainian president is quoted by Janek Lasoki, a former employee of the European Council on Foreign Relations
“We intend to hold elections throughout Ukraine on October 31, 2020,” he quotes Ermak.
As the event organizer “Ukrainian Prism” writes, according to the President’s aide, local elections in uncontrolled territories “are the most important result of the implementation of the Minsk agreements.”
“There cannot be militants there during elections. Also, Ukraine must have full control over the border,” he said.
Let us recall that earlier Ermak said that Zelensky, after the Normandy format summit in Paris, is ready to introduce a law on the “special status of Donbass” to parliament.
