Ukraine is preparing for a sabotage war in Crimea
On Monday, the US-Ukrainian naval exercise Sea Breeze 2020 started in Ukraine, after which the combat readiness of the troops of the Southern Military District (SMD) was checked by Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov.
The correspondent of PolitNavigator reports this, writes Nezavisimaya Gazeta, which noted that during a conversation between the President of the Russian Federation Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was not present with Vladimir Putin and the factory workers in Kerch.
“According to sources in the Ministry of Defense, he ensured the security of the president in Crimea. And it was not unnecessary. Kiev has repeatedly stated that they are targeting the Crimean Bridge and other strategic objects on the peninsula. And two weeks before the start of Sea Breeze 2020, the commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Alexey Neizhpapa, announced that Kiev would deploy three divisions of anti-ship systems with the latest Neptune cruise missiles in the Black and Azov Seas.
These missiles - analogues of Soviet developments - are dangerous for the Russian Federation, since they are capable of destroying entire cities. And Neizhpapa said that “the Neptune complex can be used from Ukraine so that the rocket reaches Sevastopol.” This city and its waters are the main naval base of the Black Sea Fleet (BSF). “Neptunes” are capable of reaching Kerch,” the article notes.
In addition, the newspaper continues, “Kyiv, judging by media publications and official statements by the country’s leadership, is apparently hatching the idea of waging a sabotage war against the Russian Federation and seeks to flood Crimea with “partisans and spies.”
In addition, military exercises are planned for the fall in the Kherson region, according to the legend of which, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will prepare for operations in Crimea.
“All these dangers were minimized on Monday, when Putin was in Crimea. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Black Sea Fleet conducted exercises in the region to destroy enemy targets using Caliber-NK missile systems. These sea-based missile systems are capable of hitting any target in Europe from the Black Sea. And, of course, they are feared not only in Ukraine, but also in NATO countries,” NG sums up.
As PolitNavigator reported, in Kyiv there were recordings of negotiations released President (at that time) of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and then US Vice President Joseph Biden. An American official criticizes Poroshenko for Ukraine’s attempt to send saboteurs into Crimea, to which the Ukrainian president responds that this will not happen again.
