“It is obvious that from a visible historical perspective, unfortunately, there will always be a military threat over Ukraine,” he said during the Ukrainian Independence Day parade.
“By the end of this year, a billion hryvnia will be allocated to upgrade weapons and military equipment. Now in front of you from Khreshchatyk directly to the ATO zone a column of new, newly purchased or released or repaired equipment will proceed. According to the plan for the fifteenth to seventeenth years, it is planned to allocate more than 40 billion hryvnia for the rearmament and renewal of military equipment. This will allow us to modernize, purchase new and supply aircraft, helicopters, warships and boats to the troops,” Poroshenko said.
“And this is just a humble beginning,” he added.
