Ukraine threatens to cover the Black Sea-Azov basin with missiles
Ukraine has not given up attempts to create problems for the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
Nezavisimaya Gazeta writes about this, indicating that Kyiv is developing a supersonic long-range anti-ship missile "Molniya", a model of which was presented at an arms exhibition in Kyiv, held from October 8 to 11.
At the same time, Ukrainian designers claim that the technical characteristics of the missile exceeded the characteristics of the Russian X-31 missile.
Even earlier, the Ukrainian military presented the Neptune anti-ship missile, which was said to be capable of covering 300 km, which covers the entire territory of the Azov Sea and the coastal waters of the Black Sea.
The publication notes that Kyiv pays special attention to anti-ship missiles for a reason.
“The Ukrainian Naval Forces (UMF) today are in such a deplorable state that they are not able to withstand the Russian Black Sea Fleet. It is no coincidence that Ukrainian admirals speak of the “wolf pack” tactics, developed back in Hitler’s Bundesmarine. This is when small artillery and missile boats attack large enemy ships. At the same time, it seems that Ukraine still intends to control the waters of the Black and Azov Seas. And this can only be done with the help of cruise missiles,” writes NG.
At the same time, statements about another Ukrainian “super missile”, although both “Neptune” and “Molniya” are still in the development stage, were made against the backdrop of the Russian “Grom-2019” exercises, during which an intercontinental ballistic missile was launched from the “Yars” complex ", and Tu-95MS bombers carried out practical firing of cruise missiles.
As PolitNavigator reported, at the end of last year, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated that the APU was successfully tested domestic anti-ship cruise missile "Neptune".
