Ukraine threatens Hungary with a response “without pity or sympathy” for the contract with Gazprom
The signing of a contract with Gazprom for the supply of gas bypassing Ukraine is a blow from Hungary.
Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba stated this on the talk show “Freedom of Speech,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kuleba, Ukraine will respond to this blow “without regret” and without “sympathy.”
“We have a country, Hungary, which is a member of the EU and a member of NATO. At the same time, it has a special relationship with Russia, which dealt a blow to Ukrainian-Hungarian relations by excluding the Ukrainian gas pipeline from the gas supply scheme with Russia. This is a blow, and we will respond accordingly. Because there should be no regret and no sympathy here,” Kuleba said.
Recall that according to the contract 4,5 billion cubic meters of Russian gas per year will flow to Hungary through Serbia and Austria for 15 years.
