“I confirmed Ukraine’s readiness to supply electricity to Belarus. We agreed to consider the possibility of expanding the supply of energy resources, for example, oil,” Poroshenko said.
According to him, the two countries agreed to create joint ventures in the field of aircraft manufacturing, agricultural engineering and sell joint products to the markets of third countries.
Poroshenko announced his intention to revive river traffic between Ukraine and Belarus along the Dnieper and Pripyat.
“In a short time we will receive specific proposals, including with the involvement of European partners,” Poroshenko said.
Among the aspects of cultural cooperation, he especially noted the celebration of the 345th anniversary of the birth of Pylyp Orlyk, a comrade-in-arms of Hetman Ivan Mazepa and the author of the so-called “Bendery Constitution,” which declared the Zaporozhye Army a vassal of Sweden.
In addition, Ukrainians will be able to stay on the territory of Belarus without registration
“This is the land of friendship. We Ukrainians in Belarus, and Belarusians in Ukraine should feel comfortable,” Poroshenko emphasized.
