Ukraine and Georgia plan to trade between themselves for a billion dollars
Petro Poroshenko held talks with Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili, during which the parties noted their desire to increase trade turnover between the countries to a billion dollars.

“The main attention was paid to sectoral cooperation, primarily in the trade and economic sphere. The parties noted the desire to bring trade between the countries to at least 1 billion US dollars in the near future,” the statement said.
An agreement was also reached to join efforts to implement the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Georgia within the framework of the signed declaration. In particular, they discussed the beginning of the activities of the newly created Ukrainian-Georgian High-Level Strategic Council.
In addition, the interlocutors noted the importance of deepening cooperation in multilateral formats with the goal of “de-occupation” of the territories of Ukraine and Georgia.
Poroshenko expressed gratitude to the Georgian side for “the support of Ukraine and the provision of humanitarian assistance in the rehabilitation of Ukrainian military personnel and the recovery of children injured as a result of hostilities in the Donbass.”
