Ukraine in the near future plans to place Moldovan border guard posts on its territory on the border with the unrecognized Transnistria, which will allow Chisinau to completely surround the pro-Russian enclave and control all movement of citizens and cargo, increasing pressure on Tiraspol.
Russia must use economic leverage on Moldova to force it to remove its post on the Transnistrian-Ukrainian border in Kuchurgan. Ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Sergei Simonenko stated this on the air of the Pridnestrovian TV channel TSV.

“Today, when Moldova dreams of re-conquering the Russian market, there are economic levers of influence,” Simonenco said.
Pridnestrovie expects that during the visit of Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin, the topic of Moldovan posts on the border with Ukraine will become the main one.
Moldovan control over the Ukrainian border will make Pridnestrovian economic agents dependent on the legal field of Moldova.
“They will be forced to work in it. All activities of our legislation (patents, permits) will not apply at all. Moldovan customs officers will screen out the movement of goods at this level. Everything that moves with our documents will be illegal,” Simonenko said.
