According to the report of the National Bureau of Statistics of Moldova, in 2013, 2585 people left the Republic of Moldova for permanent residence abroad. Most of them went to Ukraine (1054 people) and Russia (684 people). Germany, the USA and Israel follow by a wide margin.
The age structure of emigrants is divided into two main groups, 20-29 and 30-39 years old. At the same time, only 19,5% of citizens who left the Republic of Moldova graduated from higher educational institutions, reports the Novosti-Moldova agency.
