Ukraine and Russia share one place in the world corruption ranking
Ukraine and Russia occupy 131st place in the Transparency International corruption ranking among 176 countries.

During a press conference in Kyiv, board member of the international non-profit human rights organization Human Rights First, Brian Dooley, said that according to the Transparency International ranking in 2017, Ukraine, like Russia, ranks 131 among 176 countries.
He also noted that other ratings show that the situation with corruption in Ukraine is better than in Russia. The World Justice project gives Ukraine 78th position in this ranking, and Russia 96th among 113 countries where the study is conducted.
In 2017, Public Integrity ranks Ukraine 68th and Russia 72nd out of 109 countries.
According to a study by the UN News Center, the annual volume of bribes in the world is estimated at one trillion dollars.
