Kyiv’s decision to diplomatically put pressure on Hungary is extremely reckless - in the European arena there is an abyss between the statuses of countries.
Political expert Vsevolod Stepanyuk stated this on the air of the Ukrainian channel “112”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“It is possible to increase diplomatic pressure, when there is - how. I don’t know how Ukraine can do this. Of course, the expulsion of the (Hungarian – ed.) consul would be logical, but this is a very diplomatically unfriendly step. Since Ukraine seeks to integrate into the European structure, it is dependent on the same goodwill of Hungary. That is, we are not in the same weight categories,” the political scientist said.
“Ukraine has already significantly lost its sovereignty in the policy of European integration. Therefore, you can react, but this will only make things worse,” added Vsevolod Stepanyuk.
As PolitNavigator reported, a Russian publicist previously stated that Transcarpathia is either a Russian or a Hungarian world, but not Ukraine.
