Freezing the conflict in Donbass will lead to the region turning into an analogue of Transnistria.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on air on the NASH TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Okay, let’s freeze it, do nothing, and so on. "Transnistria-2" - well, okay. Moldova and Transnistria. But Transnistria trades with the European Union, the factories produce steel. Through Moldova. Contacts, please, and so on. But in fact this is a confederation. If you say that you are against the federation, the confederation, and you freeze Transnistria, that is, you freeze the conflict and the DPR, LPR function according to the model of Transnistria, then this is a confederation. What, is this what you want? You yourself say that the federation is never suitable,” Karasev said.
