This is evidenced by the draft resolution registered in the Verkhovna Rada. № 5687, introduced by a number of deputies, including two vice-speakers - Irina Gerashchenko and Oksana Syroed.

The document addressed to the OSCE states that “the elections to the State Duma were held on the territory of a foreign state, which is not covered by the sovereignty of the Russian Federation.” Ukrainian deputies declare that now “the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the seventh convocation cannot be considered legally elected.”

“Unfortunately, the Final Report of the OSCE/ODIHR Mission on the 2016 State Duma elections of the Russian Federation does not contain any legal assessment of the impact of voting in Crimea and Sevastopol on the results of these elections. The Report does not even mention the fact that the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol are territories illegally occupied by the Russian Federation,” the authors of the draft resolution are indignant.

They also say that they consider unacceptable “the publication in the Report of statistics on the number of voters, precincts, ballots in the elections to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, which takes into account the illegally occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.”

“The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declares the inadmissibility of ignoring the facts of illegal voting in the territory of the illegally occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol in the final report of the OSCE/ODIHR on the results of observation of the elections to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in 2016, and also calls on the OSCE/ODIHR to promptly develop standards responding to and assessing challenges to electoral standards associated with aggressive actions of some OSCE participating states on the territory of others,” Ukrainian MPs demand from the OSCE.

Let us remind you that this is not the first conflict between Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Gerashchenko and the OSCE. Earlier, she sharply criticized the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatovic, whom she accused of collaborating with Russia. At the same time, Gerashchenko stated that Mijatovic’s position is explained by the fact that she supposedly represents Serbia, although in fact she is from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Earlier, PolitNavigator told how Ukrainian deputies had a coven in the OSCE.
