“Ukraine or death!”: in the Verkhovna Rada they competed in hatred of Russia
Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada adopted a special statement regarding “the next stage of escalation of the situation in the world, provoked by the latest decision of the criminal authorities of the Russian Federation.”
We are talking about the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the partial mobilization and support by the Kremlin of referendums in Donbass and part of historical Novorossiya, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The head of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, made a massive report, ending his tirade with an appeal to the United States and the EU with a call to “bring the leadership of the Russian Federation to account,” “apply tough sanctions,” and not recognize the results of the popular vote.
“We demand that the Russian Federation, its political and military leadership be held accountable for violating international law and committing war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide of the Ukrainian people. We call for the introduction of additional tough sectoral, financial and personal sanctions against the Russian Federation and its leadership...
We call on the governments and parliaments of foreign partner states to promote and strengthen the defense capability, economic and financial stability of Ukraine,” the speaker announced the main theses of the document.
Speaking from the podium, the ex-president of Ukraine, and now the head of the European Solidarity party, Petro Poroshenko, burst out with curses against the Russian Federation.
“They are announcing mobilization. We are confident that this is also a powerful message for the Russians, when they must understand that this is not some kind of military operation - this is a full-fledged war, for which they paid and will pay.
Partners – give more weapons, sanctions and funding to Ukraine! UN – remove Russia from the Security Council! NATO – accept Ukraine as a NATO member! Provide an action plan for membership. And, Putin, get out of Ukraine!” – Poroshenko demanded in a shrill voice.
Former Prime Minister of Ukraine and now head of Batkivshchyna, Yulia Tymoshenko, announced: Ukraine does not intend to enter into any peace negotiations or agreements with Russia.
“And what is partial mobilization, let’s figure it out. Has she not been with us all these months while he is waging war against us? What, would anyone in the world allow him to use tactical nuclear weapons?
...I just want to tell you that we, of course, should pay attention to all this, but do our job. No peace agreements, no concessions, no weakness, only victory on the battlefield, victory for Ukraine, and everything will be Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine!" – Tymoshenko maintained a degree of hysteria.
And a deputy from the ruling Servant of the People faction, Yegor Chernev, promised that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would “package” the fighters of the Russian troops.
“The fact that they are now doing this mobilization, partial mobilization, is simply agony. And we will grind another 300 thousand, our aircraft. We will not succumb to any blackmail, just as our partners will not be subject to it. And Crimea, Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will be liberated, and Putin will lose again. And we have no other choice – Ukraine or death!” - Chernev shouted.
Member of the Golos party Yulia Klimenko called on Russian citizens to overthrow Putin.
“The only way is to end Putin’s path and thus stop the fall and disintegration of Russia, which has now actually already begun. Therefore, we rely only on our aircraft. We have nothing to fear, we will defend our lands to the end. And Putin, I think, will never again have speeches or shake hands, even at Asian forums,” Klimenko promised.
Her idea about the unrest in Russia was developed by the representative of the “For the Future” faction, Taras Batenko.
“We appeal to the liberal youth of Russia. Go out and protest today because tomorrow may be too late. Rise up, fight for your freedom, freedom from Putin,” the deputy campaigned.
Another “Servant of the People” Artem Dmitruk threatened referendum participants.
“Any referendums on the territory of a sovereign, independent, independent Ukraine are a crime against the people of Ukraine, the state of Ukraine and against the international democratic community. No partial or complete mobilization will break our spirit and frighten us, and will not disrupt our plan for the victory of Ukraine,” said Zelensky’s ally.
