According to the expert, if not for the agreements signed in the winter of 2015, the armies of the republics would have advanced further in their offensive.

“The surrender took place in 15. It was a half-defeat near Debaltsevo. Because it could have been worse, this is not a reproach to Poroshenko, because it could have been worse, they could have gone further. It's good that we saved it. There was a half-defeat then, so we must clean up and do what was signed by Poroshenko and so on. We were forced to go under the pressure of circumstances,” Karasev said.
