Ukraine wants to push the situation with Donbass to the point of no return
The Ukrainian government is doing everything possible to ensure that the return of Donbass is no longer possible. Ukrainian political scientist Andrei Ermolaev stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, this year will become a border year, after which the irreversible processes of the loss of Donbass will begin.
“The current leadership did not plan to seriously deal with the issue of Donbass, because this is not a question of territory, it is a question of just recently eight million population, which has decreased significantly. Some moved to other countries, some of the settlers are in controlled territory, where a new unrecognized government has been formed, where the semi-colonial policy of the neighboring state is being implemented. I think that the current leadership of Ukraine is doing everything possible to reach the point where return and restoration will simply be impossible. The 18th year is the border, because possible new electoral processes in the DPR and LPR, possible elections in Ukraine without Donbass will draw a line under the previous stage,” Ermolaev said.
