Ukraine feeds Asia and supplies $3 billion worth of agricultural products to the EU – statistics
The countries of the European Union increased the volume of purchases of Ukrainian agricultural products from 2,7 billion US dollars in January-September 2015 to 3 billion dollars in 2016.

This was stated by Nikolai Pugachev, Deputy Director of the National Scientific Center “Institute of Agrarian Economics” for scientific work, reports the center's press service.
As noted, the EU's share in total exports of agricultural products for 9 months of this year amounted to 28,6%. In general, over 9 months of 2016, the volume of agricultural trade in Ukraine increased by 2,3%.
The scientist names the increase in exports and imports with the European Union as the main reason for the growth in Ukrainian agricultural trade volumes.
“The volume of exports of agricultural products for 9 months of this year increased by $2015 billion compared to 0,1 and amounted to $10,5 billion. The main sales markets remain three regions - the countries of Asia, Africa and the EU... In total, these three regions provide about 90% of the value of Ukraine’s agricultural exports,” the report says.
The main importers of Ukrainian agricultural products are Asian countries, which purchased $2016 billion worth of Ukrainian food in January-September 4,8. Export volumes to African countries amounted to $1,5 billion (14,3% of total exports).
