Ukraine is getting its head into the Georgian noose of 2008
Ukrainians are so confident in NATO support that they are mentally preparing for a possible war with the Russian Federation, despite the Georgian scenario of 2008 that threatens them.
Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukrainian commentators say that Russia will not respond. They say we are bombing Sevastopol because Russia has been limited in its actions. We will fight with the Russians and we will supply Javelins to the Donbass, contrary to what we promised everyone - including the Americans.
And Russia was allegedly limited by NATO and told not to use aircraft and missiles, and if you use it, NATO will stand up for Ukraine. Ukrainians are zombifying themselves with these statements, they already believe in victory, already more than 50% of Ukrainians, according to polls, really believe that in the event of a large-scale war, Ukraine will easily defeat Russia,” Kornilov said.
“This blind faith creates the preconditions for a possible serious conflict. Remember Georgia in 2008, how experts of all stripes, including Ukrainian ones, declared en masse that the powerful Georgian army trained by NATO would easily defeat the backward Russian army. We remember how it ended,” the expert added.
Let us recall that earlier the Ukrainian economist Maxim Goldarb said that Ukrainian politicians, military men and officials provoke Moscow and constantly declare that Russia will attack, preparing the residents of Ukraine for the fact that war is inevitable.
