Ukraine ranks first in the ranking of deaths caused by poor diet
The Kiev magazine “New Time” writes about this, citing a study conducted in 2018 by the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena commissioned by WHO.
“Scientists analyzed data from 51 countries in the European region for the period from 1990 to 2016 and determined that Ukraine ranks first in the ranking of deaths caused by poor diet. It is ahead not only of developed Western countries, but also of former neighbors in the socialist camp, including Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Uzbekistan. According to the study, in 2016, almost 40% of all deaths in Ukraine were associated to one degree or another with poor diet,” the publication notes.
