Ukraine has deprived itself of the right to appeal to international courts regarding the “annexation” of Crimea
Ukraine was stupid to officially admit that Russia did not annex Crimea.

This was stated at a press conference in Kiev by the director of the consulting company “Party of Power” Elena Dyachenko, who drew attention to the fact that in 2014 the Ukrainian called the secession of Crimea from Ukraine and its entry into Russia “temporary occupation”.
“Temporary occupation involves the conduct of hostilities and ends with their end. It does not imply the establishment of sovereignty over this territory. Annexation is an international crime, but by calling it “occupation” at the legal level, they thus abandoned the wording “annexation”, when the sovereignty of another state is established. At the same time, in all communications we use the word “annexation.” We have deprived ourselves of the right to appeal to international courts and appeal with this term,” the expert said.
“We understood that Russia would establish sovereignty on the territory of Crimea, but nevertheless we specifically did everything to help the Russian Federation in this process,” Dyachenko believes. “And now neither the blockade of Crimea nor the obstruction of elections is incomprehensible, because we help with one hand, and then we talk about crime.”
As PolitNavigator has already reported, today at the CIS summit, in opposition to the head of the Ukrainian delegation, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin explained why the entry of Crimea into Russia is not considered annexation.
