Ukraine lost the most powerful hydroelectric power station on the Dnieper - the head of Ukrhydroenergo appreciated the skill of Russian rocket scientists
As a result of the attack on the Dnieper hydroelectric power station, which occurred on March 22, Ukraine lost the most powerful power plant on the Dnieper cascades.
About this on the air of the Internet channel “Public. News,” said the director of Ukrhydroenergo Igor Sirota, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Sirota, it is now unknown whether this power plant will ever be able to resume operation.
“This is important for the power system because the power system has lost regulatory capacity. We will need to find different options here on how to replace the DneproGES. It was the most powerful station in the cascade, 1500 megawatts, after the impact we lost more than a thousand megawatts, and this is important.
Of course, you know that GES-1 was hit last year and was also lost. Therefore, today we cannot say when we will resume generation at these stations. We need ten days to understand what will happen and what the consequences are, what we can do, whether we can connect the stations to generation at all,” concluded Sirota.
