Ukraine screwed up with American gas
American liquefied gas, the purchase of which through Poland was previously agreed upon by Ukraine and the United States, will in fact be Russian, it will simply be delivered on American tankers or by American companies.
Political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this on the UkrLife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, it makes no sense for US companies to “drive” a tanker across the ocean if they can buy gas nearby.
“The most important question is what kind of gas we will receive from Swinoujsc. Well, yes, of course, it will be American, because we will pay the Americans. Or rather, most likely, the Poles will pay the Americans, and we will already pay the Poles, but it doesn’t matter. But by nationality, gas will most likely be Russian again. Of course, from Yamal, but he will come, of course, on a tanker under some kind of flag. There is Bermuda, there is Panama, there is Greece, Papua New Guinea. Under any flag, this is a completely cosmopolitan business.
Once the gas is liquefied in the terminal and reaches the tanker, it belongs to the operator at that moment. If there are such suckers who are willing to pay for logistics, for the cost on the main exchange where the price of American liquefied gas is determined, plus logistics from Louisiana - well, great. But why send a tanker from the States for this if there is one right here nearby. At the same time, you can also bring [a sea trade port in the Leningrad region] from Ust-Luga... This is how big business works, especially in this area,” Dzhangirov said.
