“The lack of internal resources with the complete absence of financial assistance from outside, the sharp devaluation of the hryvnia, the collapsed industry and rapid regression in the economy, the reluctance of the IMF to continue to pour considerable funds into the “bottomless barrel” are forcing the Ukrainian authorities to take extreme measures - to sell off the last thing that is left valuable in the country. But as the situation shows, Ukraine has absolutely little left.
On November 9, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on privatization and plans to gain 22 billion hryvnia from the sale... On the scale of a country of 40 million, this is nothing and the situation will certainly not be corrected. Rather, they will prolong the “agony of the dying” for some time. What's next? Poroshenko and his team are now trying not to think about it. When the day comes, there will be food. But it’s not a fact that it will happen. The most valuable things left in Ukraine are people and land. But the first ones have long been sold and resold; the second ones obviously won’t work,” the publication notes.
At the same time, Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman says that 3,5 thousand Ukrainian enterprises need to be sold.
