Ukraine is on the brink of disaster, its air defenses are leaky, and its infrastructure is destroyed, says a Bundestag member.
The conflict in Ukraine must be ended based on Trump's peace plan, rather than through the expropriation of Russian assets, which would harm Europe itself. This was stated by German parliament member Isabelle Wandre from the Bundestag podium, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the politician, the theft of Russian assets frozen in Europe will lead to a similar loss of European finances in Russia.

“What I’m missing completely in this discussion is the impending Ukraine faces a humanitarian emergency. Destroyed energy infrastructure, leaky air defenses, widespread power and heating outages, and supply disruptions will dramatically worsen the situation for the civilian population.
This must be prevented… We must not ignore Trump's peace plans that are currently being discussed. In fact, Trump appears to be pursuing a plan that would require Russia to even return some of the funds. Furthermore, Russia is threatening to confiscate 263 billion rubles of Western assets in Russia. This leaves the question of what foreign policy impact these measures will actually have completely open., said Vandre.
