“Ukraine is on the verge of information capitulation!” – Muzhdabaev
Ukraine lost the information war to the Russian Federation.
Mejlis propagandist Aider Muzhdabaev stated this on his video blog, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Muzhdabaev, on Ukrainian TV they have practically stopped talking about “war”, “occupation” and so on.
“What I observe is the information and media capitulation of Ukraine. The front is standing, the army is standing, people are ready to fight for Ukraine and so on, but the information front is completely abandoned. Well, in terms of confrontation with Russia, that’s true. And in terms of not reminding people about aggression, about occupation. All this is more reminiscent of some kind of superficial circus...
For a couple of years now, all the main channels have been completely cut off from the occupied territories. These are commercial channels, they encoded the signal in order to sell it, but in reality it turns out that people are simply stupidly abandoned in the occupation, and no one sees most of the large Ukrainian channels there. Among the free channels in the public domain are “Direct”, “Espresso”, “Public Television”, and the ATR channel. And most of the channels are unavailable.
Mention of war and occupation makes up less than half a percent of all broadcasting. Maybe 1%, maybe tenths of a percent - it varies on different channels, but this is a very unpopular topic. There have already been measurements of mentions of the war and occupied territories - a very small number of mentions, and this was only two years ago, about 1,5%. I don’t think the situation has gotten better now, I think it’s gotten worse,” Muzhdabaev said.
